Art in the Park is open to the public and admission is FREE. It’s the perfect event to enjoy a day – or a weekend – filled with beautiful and unique juried art, a wide variety of children’s art activities, toe-tapping music and delicious food.
This year’s artists will feature treasures for home, garden and gifts in metal, jewelry, painting, multimedia, even upcycling. Whether you’re looking for that perfect something that speaks to you, or just want to take in all the beautiful artistry on display, Art in the Park can fit the bill.

Plenty of parking, located centrally at James D Beville City Park in Leitchfield. Look for signs to our new location in the park. It’s just above the Pavilion area, with easy access from Wallace Avenue, near the Leitchfield Aquatic Center. For a more detailed view, just click here.

Young budding artists can create to their heart’s content in our Children’s Pavilion which will host special art projects complete with takeaway lessons to recreate them at home. See what’s in store . . .
Saturday, May 20
10 – 11 am Nature Sun Catcher Wind Chimes: Students will use Mason jar lids, contact paper, string and a variety of plants found in nature to construct a pretty wind chime.
12 – 1 pm Modeling Cloud Clay Creatures: Students will use Amaco Cloud Clay and other materials to model a 3D creature!
1:30 pm Presentation of Student Art Show Awards
2 – 3 pm Patterned Art Glove Sculpture: Students will create a piece of 3 dimensional Art using latex free vinyl gloves,Sharpie markers, fiber filling, and a base.

Character Design Workshops: High school art students will be available from 1-4. Kids interested in creating their own animated character can join us in any of the areas below, and may go to multiple areas for character help. Bring your current drawings if you would like some tips or feedback! High school students will have some of their own work available as examples.
Area 1 Beginning Characters: Want to make your own characters but don’t know where to start? Students will learn how to draw the volumes that make up the body!
Area 2 Intermediate Characters: Learn how to draw face proportions, hands, and feet for your characters!
Area 3 Advanced Characters: Learn how to improve your use of color, shading, textures, and background!
